By the time the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1907, Edmond was already a flourishing community in Oklahoma Territory. As Edmond grew, local businessmen began to feel the need for an organization whose interest was for the “improvement of our city.” The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce was officially founded on November 4, 1907. Our chamber is dedicated to serving our members and community. Guided by a board of directors, the Edmond Chamber staff and chamber Ambassadors, we actively promote, support and engage local businesses who share our passion for growth in Edmond, Oklahoma.
5-Star Accredited Chamber
On November 9, 2015, the Accrediting Board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce designated the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce as an Accredited chamber with 5-Stars. Accreditation indicates that a chamber of commerce operates under effective organizational procedures and contributes to significant positive change in the community. To achieve this standing, we performed an intensive self-assessment of our operations in nine areas of work, including governance, government affairs, and technology.
