Edmond’s July 4th Festival is a non-profit 501(c)3 operation made up of individual volunteers from the Edmond area. LibertyFest has been going since 1972 when it was formed over a cup of coffee at a local business. Its purpose is to produce a series of family-oriented events around the 4th of July to celebrate the birthday of this great nation and the heritage of Oklahoma. As the host city of LibertyFest, Edmond showcases a series of events that help enhance the quality of life in Edmond, show pride in the community, support for non-profit and civic organizations, and provide educational opportunities. Together there are 8 events, dates and times seen below.
- Ballet & The Band Concert. June 14th at 7:30pm. Hafer Park
- Rodeo. June 23rd-24th at 8:00pm. Carl Benne Arena
- Car Show/ParkFest. June 24th at 8:am-1:00pm. Hafer Park
- Concert in The Park. June 29th at 7:30pm. UCO.
- Patriotic Radio Show. July 3rd at 6:30pm. Edmond History Museum.
- Liberty Sprint. July 4th at 8:15am. Downtown Edmond.
- Parade. July 4th at 9:00am. Downtown Edmond.
- Fireworks. July 4th at 9:30pm. Hafer Park.
