Prairie Haven Wedding & Events Venue held a ribbon cutting with the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce to celebrate their grand opening at 7500 W Highway 33, Guthrie, OK 73044.
Jay and Valerie started the Prairie Haven Events venture over 8 years ago. Their tenacity and determination breathe through every square inch of this magnificent entertainment facility. What began with the intent of being a barrage for their bus, became a world class wedding and events center.
During the construction period, Jay and Valerie overcame several obstacles, including a pandemic, soaring materials prices, Jay battling cancer twice and a few challenges one would expect when constructing a one-of-a-kind dome facility the size of Prairie Haven.
As if the construction challenges weren’t enough, Jay and Valerie also did the construction themselves rather than outsourcing subcontractors. The attention to detail throughout the facility is amazing and most of the trim and fixtures are custom-made wood.
Jay and Valerie are so committed to making sure that you have a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Prairie Haven that they put in place a professional Board of Directors to oversee the operations of Prairie Haven.
