EDMOND, OK –To celebrate its grand opening, Combs Pediatric Dentistry recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Edmond Chamber of Commerce, marking an exciting milestone and welcoming the community to experience its innovative approach to pediatric dental care.
At Combs Pediatric Dentistry, the mission goes beyond treating teeth—it’s about empowering children. The practice is dedicated to helping young patients build confidence in the dental chair while learning that caring for their smiles can be fun, positive, and stress-free.
Founded by pediatric dentist Dr. Kyla Combs, the practice was thoughtfully designed with families in mind. Combs Pediatric Dentistry serves children from infancy through age 18, offering a full range of services including preventive and restorative care, emergency treatment, sedation when necessary, and specialized care for children with special healthcare needs.
What truly sets the practice apart is not just what they do, but how they do it. Before any treatment begins, the team takes time to understand each child’s personality, comfort level, and communication style. A unique “comfort menu” allows children to choose what helps them feel relaxed, confident, and in control during their visit—reinforcing the belief that every child is unique.
Recognizing that traditional dental environments can be overwhelming for some children, Combs Pediatric Dentistry has introduced a sensory room designed to provide a calming atmosphere with reduced noise and stimulation. Additionally, the practice offers a complimentary supervised playroom for siblings, allowing parents to focus fully on one child’s appointment.
The team at Combs Pediatric Dentistry believes healthcare should work with families—not against them—and is deeply committed to serving the community. In support of this mission, the practice has partnered with Little Light House, a Christian nonprofit developmental center that provides tuition-free, specialized education and therapy services for children from birth to six years old with all disabilities. As part of this partnership, a portion of the practice’s opening revenue will be donated to support the organization’s impactful work.
