Government Relations Committee
The Edmond Chamber of Commerce’s Government Relations Committee enables the Chamber to foster and maintain important relationships with elected officials.
The Government Relations Committee works to represent the legislative interests of business on local, state and national levels. This is done through a variety of efforts, including candidate forums, legislative breakfasts and an annual trip to Washington D.C. to meet with state officials.

Pre and Post Session Legislative Breakfasts
The Edmond Chamber hosts Pre-Session and Post-Session Legislative Breakfasts each year, bringing together the entire Edmond legislative delegation and members of the local business community. These events provide an opportunity for attendees to hear directly from state lawmakers about key issues, legislative priorities, and outcomes that impact Edmond and the broader business climate. The breakfasts foster dialogue, offer valuable insights into the legislative process, and help strengthen the relationship between elected officials and the Edmond business community.
Legislative Reception
The Edmond Chamber’s Annual Legislative Reception is a premier event that connects Chamber members with local, state, and federal elected officials in a casual, come-and-go setting. Held each after legislative session, this reception provides an opportunity for meaningful conversations, relationship-building, and direct engagement with policymakers. It’s a valuable platform for business leaders to advocate for Edmond’s priorities while strengthening partnerships with those who represent our community.
