TTCU Federal Credit Union’s first branch in the Oklahoma City area celebrated its grand opening on Jan. 30. The branch is located at 15104 N. Penn Ave., on a corner lot near the Quail Springs shopping center for easy access.

“TTCU is excited to have a hub in the OKC area to offer our unique brand of service,” President and CEO Tim Lyons said. “We believe in asking: How we can help our members make their financial dreams come true? This personal touch combined with financial technology innovation creates a new banking experience for our members.”

The branch has an open, modern feel, focusing on a welcoming and seamless experience for members. The 3,780-square-foot branch utilizes cutting-edge technology such as interactive teller machines, which allow members to complete simple transactions themselves. It is staffed with certified financial counselors as well for members who want a more in-depth discussion.

“By removing the wall between the members and our employees, we can provide our members with a more collaborative experience,” Senior Vice President of Branch Operations Liz Stidham said. “It’s really about working with our members side by side.”

The branch is also fully bilingual to better serve the Hispanic community. The branch staff can help members, provide financial advice and complete transactions in both English and Spanish. This is part of TTCU’s effort to provide accessible financial services to the immigrant community, which now represents – percent of our state’s population.

TTCU has a long history of giving back to the local community, and that tradition will continue in the Oklahoma City market. For 85 years, TTCU Federal Credit Union has supported Oklahoma teachers and schools within its service area. Through the School Pride debit card program, TTCU has donated over $1.1 million to Oklahoma school districts since 2007.

“As a credit union founded by teachers, giving back to education is our way of honoring our roots and supporting future generations,” Lyons said. “We’re looking forward to building strong, productive relationships with OKC-area schools.”
