Prior to relocating to Oklahoma in 2021, Daniela Ortiz was born and raised in the Land of Enchantment and is a proud graduate of the University of New Mexico. Since 2015, she has served as Regional Manager for Creative Financial Strategies, a values-based, comprehensive financial planning firm with offices in Albuquerque and Edmond. In her role, she contributes to business development efforts while ensuring seamless coordination of financial planning processes and upholding the firm’s core values of transparency, integrity, and personalized service. Her approach focuses on empowering advisors and teams to reach their full potential, ensuring clients receive exceptional care, and driving strategic growth across the organization. Daniela maintains active involvement in the Edmond community through her membership in the Edmond Chamber of Commerce and previous service on the Edmond Young Professionals Board. She has also served as Chairwoman for both the City of Edmond’s Community Policing Board and the Edmond Young Professionals Board. In 2025, she was honored as the OU Medical Center Edmond Young Professional of the Year. In addition to her professional and civic leadership, Daniela is deeply committed to service and regularly volunteers with Anna’s House Foundation, Edmond Mobile Meals, Fostering Sweet Dreams, and Victory Church Edmond.
In addition to her professional and community endeavors, Daniela is deeply passionate about the fine arts. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education in Voice and has performed in numerous theatrical and opera productions in leading roles, including Marion Paroo in The Music Man, Emma in Jekyll & Hyde, and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof. She has served on the board of Musical Theatre Southwest in New Mexico and has worked as a director and guest clinician for various theaters and choirs in both New Mexico and Oklahoma. Daniela has taught private voice and piano for over 15 years and especially enjoys working with youth. In Oklahoma, she serves as an adjudicator for the Kelli O’Hara Awards, a regional high school musical theatre competition that supports students on their path to the Jimmy Awards in New York City and future performance careers. She also teaches a secondary-level musical theatre production class for homeschool students in Edmond.
Daniela believes in living a full and vibrant life and embracing every opportunity that comes her way. She is grateful for her beautiful life and the community that surrounds her. In her free time, she enjoys cooking with her husband Isaac, quoting musicals with her stepdaughter Scarlette, grabbing ice cream with her stepson Ezekiel, and walking their “tough” 8-pound dogs, Rocky and Apollo, around Lake Arcadia.

Share one interesting fact with the public that they may not know about you? Most people don’t know this, but I’m classically trained in opera—so if my dancing doesn’t land, I can always fall back on a very theatrical high note.
If you had to describe your dancing style in one word, what would it be? Dramatic.
What are you most look forward to about the Edmond’s Dancing with the Stars event and supporting the Edmond Chamber of Commerce? I’m especially looking forward to being part of an event that so meaningfully blends entertainment with community impact. The Edmond’s Dancing with the Stars event is a unique opportunity to bring people together, celebrate joy and creativity, and support the important work of the Edmond Chamber of Commerce. For me, it’s also a chance to step outside of my usual role, challenge myself in a completely new way, and contribute to something that benefits the broader business community. I appreciate how events like this foster lasting connections—both through shared experiences and through supporting initiatives that help local businesses and organizations thrive. And of course, it doesn’t hurt that we get to have a lot of fun along the way!
