Each week, EYP recognizes new members in the organization. This group is constantly growing and changing and we love bringing in new members and fresh ideas! This week, we are excited to welcome Jessica Butler, Kelly Guinn, Madison Wedel and Chris Zakrzewicz.

Jessica Butler - UCO Student

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am currently a Marketing student at the University of Central Oklahoma, and I work full time as a Marketing Coordinator at a healthcare staffing company in Edmond for the last 3 years.

What do you like most about Oklahoma?
Oklahoma is one the best states to live in for its artistic temperament and opportunities. This state has produced some great artists of the century. I love going downtown to observe new statues, buildings, parks, etc.

What is your typical work day like?
A typical day in my position consists of managing several social media accounts and creating engaging content, as well as collaborating with our Marketing Director about future endeavors of our rapidly growing company, and how we can pursue new business opportunities.

What is one thing you can't live without?
The one thing I could not live without is my family. I have had some health problems in recent years and they have been my rock. They encouraged me not to give up on my goals and to keep pushing forward until I finish what I set out to do.

Kelly Guinn - St. Mary's Episcopal School

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I'm an Edmond native and a proud graduate of Edmond North High School (go Huskies)! I attended college at Texas Christian University, and aside from that brief stint as a Texan, I've been an Oklahoma girl all my life. I'm so happy to be living in Edmond with my husband, John, and raising our two children, Genevieve and J.W. in the same wonderful community that I grew up in.

What do you like most about Oklahoma?
Fall! I love the crisp cool mornings we get this time of year and the opportunity to get out with my kids and play.

What is your typical work day like?
As the Admissions and Marketing Director, no two days look the same! I am doing anything from showing new families around our school, to snapping pictures of activities, to attending chapel with our students. I love my job and the opportunity to work with so many terrific students, teachers, and families.

What is one thing you can't live without?
My planner! I'm a paper planner girl and a chronic list-maker. It's absolutely what helps me keep my head on straight.

Madison Wedel - Homestead and Co.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Maddie Wedel an I am 23 years old. I recently graduated with my MBA in Marketing and I am currently the Listing and Marketing Coordinator at Homestead & Co. in Edmond, Oklahoma. I am originally from Stillwater, Oklahoma, and I attended Oklahoma State University for my undergraduate degree then went on to receive my MBA in Marketing at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

What do you like most about Oklahoma?
What I love most about Oklahoma is the people, the dynamic nature, and the sports. The people of Oklahoma are kind, compassionate, and always willing to lend a hand. Anyone that I have come across in our great state is willing to strike up an engaging conversation and stay connected. Oklahoma is on the move and its dynamic nature is constantly growing and changing. There is always something new happening in Oklahoma and I do not see the momentum slowing down anytime soon. Lastly, I love the that sports in Oklahoma are thriving. From collegiate sports to the OKC Thunder to the Oklahoma Dodgers, Oklahoma has plenty to offer!

What is your typical work day like?
My typical work day consists of assisting the Listing Agent at Homestead & Co. I am her right-hand woman and whatever she needs me to do, I do it. I also run all of Homestead & Co.'s social media accounts. I schedule postings to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and ActiveRain making sure that our clients properties are being marketed in every way possible.

What is one thing you can't live without?
One thing I can't live without would be my Felix Gray Blue Light Filtering Lenses Glasses. I spend roughly 7-8 hours every day on my computer and by wearing these glasses while working on the computer I am saving my eyes from damage that can be caused by the blue light given off by the screen.

Chris Zakrewicz - Frazer Bank

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I grew up in the Oklahoma Panhandle and graduated from Oklahoma State with degree in Agricultural Economics.  I have three kids.  I enjoy old books, good beer, gardening, hunting and watching sports.

What do you like most about Oklahoma?
As a native Oklahoman, I can confidently say the best thing about Oklahoma is the people that live here.  I have the best family, friends and neighbors, and it is these relationships that make Oklahoma home.

What is your typical work day like?
Most days consists of networking, calling on clients and reviewing loan structures.   Each day is unique and offers its own challenges and rewards.

What is one thing you can't live without?
The one thing I can’t live without is my faith. It is the glue that holds everything else together and is the source of my joy.
