Each week, EYP recognizes new members in the organization. This group is constantly growing and changing and we love bringing in new members and fresh ideas! This week, we are excited to welcome Jenna Morris and Jackie Palmer.

Jenna Morris

 Grand Tapestry

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, I moved to Stillwater in March and to Oklahoma City last month. I have a degree in Communications and a background in Marketing and Community Relations. Since I'm still fairly new to Oklahoma City (and Oklahoma in general), I love spending time exploring new places, being with friends, and always enjoying a good mimosa.

What do you like most about Oklahoma?
I'll have to say my favorite part of Oklahoma has been the always changing weather and many landscapes so far! I love that we get to experience all four seasons and that so many different terrains exist all in one place.

What is your typical work day like?
Busy busy! Working at a 55+ Community, there is always something to do or last minute projects that constantly pop up. However, spending time with residents during our activities helps you get to know them so well and it quickly becomes like a little family.

What is one thing you can’t live without?
I hate to be that person, but I have to say my phone because of Facetime. I like to keep in continuous contact with my family, and since I'm so far away from them, it lets me still join in on holidays and get-togethers like I'm still there.

Jackie Palmer

True Sky Credit Union

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am an Oklahoma transplant – grew up in Virginia. My husband Richard and I have lived here just over 4 years. We have a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer named Gracie. With my degree in English, I never expected to work at True Sky Credit Union, but I love it!
What do you like most about Oklahoma?
The people – From my experience, Oklahomans are some of the friendliest people I have met.
What is your typical work day like?
I have only been a Branch Manager for a few months so I am constantly learning and growing. I open accounts, take and close loan application, coach my employees, and complete reports.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
Hmm, this a hard one. I would have to say dessert!
