Koorosh Zahrai is the Vice President of Business Development for Campbell Corner and has lived in Edmond since 1998. He joined EYP to network and learn more about the Edmond business community and through EYP events, he has met many bright, talented and successful young professionals. He enjoys talking about the issues that matter most to young people in Edmond.
Can you tell us a little bit about your industry and what your favorite aspect of work is? Commercial real estate is a dynamic and ever changing industry that is influenced by technology, finance, the economy, government regulations, and changing consumer tastes and preferences. My favorite aspect of working at Campbell Corner is that we are placemaking. Every single day I get to do my best to make someone’s dreams come true whether that be starting, expanding, or growing a business. I try to always make it my daily goal to improve the community around me and make Edmond the best place to live, work, play, and shop.
What was the first job you ever had? I started a video production company in grade school that eventually expanded into DJ services.
Favorite Hobby/pastime outside of work: I love to ride my bike around Edmond. I enjoy playing disc golf. I also enjoy residential property acquisition, remodeling, and leasing.
Most recent or upcoming vacation spot? Just got back from the beautiful beaches in Gulf Shores, AL. I plan on taking a vacation to Denver, CO later this year.
What is the best advice you have for others or have you been given? The best advice I have been given is to always be honest and do the right thing.
What has been your favorite experience/activity in Edmond? My favorite activities in Edmond are Citizens Bank of Edmond’s Heard on Hurd, the Downtown Edmond Arts Festival, and the 4th of July LibertyFest Parade and Fireworks.
Favorite Restaurant in Edmond? Boulevard Steakhouse. #1 steakhouse in the USA!
Any mentors or people who inspire you? Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison, John Maynard Keynes, Warren Buffet, and Elon Musk.
