The law firm Mugg Scott & Winston seeks an experienced professional who is looking for an exciting challenge in a growing organization. The role of Firm Administrator includes supervision of non-attorney team members, a balance of strategic thinking and detailed implementation, and oversight of day-to-day operations of the firm. As part of the management team, you will work closely with the Managing Partner to develop and implement firm-wide policies and direct the Human Resources function. You will be responsible for the facility, including appearance, equipment leases, space utilization, office moves, and office improvements. You will also develop and standardize effective firm-wide processes and procedures.

To excel in this leadership position, you hold a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline from an accredited University. An MBA is highly desirable, as is experience or accreditation in Human Resources.

The Firm Administrator will be responsible for managing the administrative operations of the Firm, including the following:

  1. Supervising all non-attorney team members;
  2. Evaluating and managing the Firm’s operating and information systems;
  3. Streamlining current processes;
  4. Overseeing the Firm’s finance functions;
  5. Assisting in the marketing of the Firm’s legal services and client development activities; and
  6. Evaluating, managing and supervising the facilities of the Firm.

The Firm Administrator will also have the opportunity to assist the Firm’s partners in recruiting attorneys, training associates, training legal assistants, and improving the total quality of the practice of law. The Firm Administrator also is responsible for coordinating business and social functions of the Firm.

The Firm Administrator will report to the Firm’s managing partner and will meet with the managing partner on a regular basis.
