On Thursday April 12th, EYP gathered at Standards IT on the second floor of Campbell Corner in Downtown Edmond for our spring networking event, Explore Campbell Corner. The event took place in Downtown Edmond, allowing attendees to tour and shop the merchants located in Campbell Corner. For the first 45 minutes or so, attendees socialized and got to know one another, then it was time to do some exploring.

The tours around the participating shops were led by Koorosh Zahrai from Xcess LLC and Dan Slursarchuk from Standards IT. The first stop on the tour was Maison Bleue Lingerie Boutique. EYP members were given 20% off store wide and a generous raffle by the owner! The next stop on the tour was Hello Love Salon & Boutique. Shoppers with EYP enjoyed 15% off all retail items. Third was Pink Petal Boutique, where another generous 15% discount was offered. The final shopping destination for this event was Native Summit. Native Summit offered 20% off all full price retail and footwear. One lucky EYP member’s day was made and won a new Patagonia duffle bag.

Those who were worn out from the shopping and upset about losing out on a new duffle bag, headed over to The Zu Sports Grill to cash in those drink tickets and get their fingers dirty with some wings and queso.

It was announced that there will be a volunteer opportunity at the Children’s Tent during the Arts Festival. Volunteers will help work the EYP table for kids to grow their own plant, as well as draw the state of Oklahoma. This is an annual volunteer opportunity for EYP to help with free children's activities in the Children's Area at the Downtown Edmond Arts Festival. To volunteer for a time slot, email [email protected]. Time slots are 2 hours each. Volunteers are needed Friday, May 4, 8:00am-8:00pm, Saturday, May 5, 10:00am-8:00pm and Sunday, May 6, 11:00am-5:00pm.

We want to thank EYP’s presenting Sponsor, Mo Anderson at Keller Williams Realty, as well as all the local businesses who helped make the event possible. Please join us May 8th, 7:30-9:00 am, at The Brew at Oklahoma Christian University for Leadership Latte. We will be hearing from Jan Peery, the CEO of the Oklahoma City YWCA.
